Default Re: Which is better for a Syrian?

None of my four hamsters ever sits still when handled. They always want down and do their own thing. My dwarf Edwina sometimes sits on my shoulder to have a wash but they need a good reason to hang around, usually its eating.

You are making very good progress with taming and thank you for the DIY info which is always of interest for me.

No worries

Real brake through this evening in bathtub session, she climbed up the crossed legs and let me pick her up, while my daughter fed her seeds I think we are starting to build a trust between us, think I was scared of getting bitten at first but she's been really good. My daughter is a bit scared to pick her up so working on building her confidence up now as she is seeing me do it. It's "her" hamster but I love her too.
