Oilseed Rape straw
Has anyone ever tried Raviera Pro Sterilised Rapeseed Straw Bedding as a substrate? I'm looking for a non paper based substrate to use in an area of my cage and this seemed promising I have also had a look at nedz bed. Ideally i would like a shredded bedding rather than shaving as i've heard it is likely to hold burrows better.

Re: Oilseed Rape straw
Interesting. But can't you just use normal pet-store hay?

Re: Oilseed Rape straw
Its not like normal straw its chopped and probable more similar to aspen than normal straw. I think its just called straw because its the stem of the plant.

Never heard of that before, so not sure. In looks it does remind me a bit of aubiose which I know people use. Have you looked into that?
