Does the IKEA detolf ever go on sale?

I'm currently housing my hamster in a bin cage that's more than big enough, and I think it'd be safe to say he's thriving happily. However I deeeeeply yearn to own a detolf one day, and was wondering if any of you have ever known it to go on sale. It's the kind of thing you see being resold on Gumtree/eBay all the time for a fraction of the price but I unfortunately don't own a car so the travel isn't an option.

I've never seen it on sale but I have seen them in the bit at the end of the store with money off. Normally because there are shelves missing (of course the shelves aren't need for using it as a cage).

I have seen them for sale on ebay a few times for £15 or so Transporting it is the tricky bit. It could be easier just to pay the new price and have it delivered and then assemble it yourself.

I see them on Facebook Marketplace a lot, but usually they will be called "glass cabinet" or something rather than detolf.

i have never seen it on sale and i also havent seen coupons in ikea. I think the only way to get it for a cheaper price is through ebay and such sites. Hopefully you can possibly figure out a way as they are great cages and totally worth the price but i understand that it is quite pricey.

I got mine on Facebook Marketplace but also saw a lot on Gumtree. Often called 'ikea glass display case'. Keep looking as your ham will thank you: Mimi became a different animal when she moved into her Detolf!
