Re: New setup
I have the same wheel, it is silent if you hang it upside down, I've attached the metal frame it is meant to stand on to the top of my cage with plastic cable ties so it hangs down and nothing rubs so completely quiet. If your wheel becomes too high for hammy to get in you could have a little move around to put something they can step on to get in and out. Looks great in there!

Oh nice, thanks for telling me! Once the plastikote I've ordered shows up and I put a couple layers on my shelf, I'll have a rearrange of the cage a little so I can fit it in, and I'll hang the wheel from the top :)

Re: New setup
Looks great with plenty to do for a lucky hamster. My Syrian likes the Harry Hamster best and his daily fresh vegetables like cucumber, broccoli, peas, pepper etc. Small amounts cut up small. You could add some millet sprays to nibble on. Rosewood does a nice selection pack for birds which is also suitable for hamsters and they like a Whimzee dog chew.
When is your hamster going to move in?

Re: New setup
Updated my cage setup! Took the advice of some people here and improved it. Stats are the same, but I added some more stuff as well as diy toys. Getting him tomorrow and I can't wait lmao xD

Re: New setup
Very nice set up! He'll love that, lucky hamster.
Looking forward to see a photo of your hamster. Are you getting a baby hamster or a rescue one? Not that it matters where a hamster comes from, i'm just curious. Have you seen him already or will you choose one tomorrow?

Thank you! I'm getting a baby as there wasn't really any rescues near me, the closest was over an hour away unfortumately. I will be choosing him today, as the petshop I'm going to has a weird system where they give out tickets and hamsters are sold on a1st come 1st served basis, so idk which ones will be left when I get my ticket lmao
