New robo cage!?

Hello everyone! I've recently upgraded one of my separated dwarfs into his new zoozone medium and it's going well

now I need to look at upgrading my other dwarf boy. I have around 23~ by 23~ inches of space, as I've had to rearrange my desk to make room, so can anyone recommend any cages for a roborovski, or any storage bins that would fit in this space as I can now find the means to mesh a lid

I take it another zoozone is slightly too big for that space. Is it possible to stack your cages? Like I've done. I can house robos in all of mine. (Bin cage, zoozone 2 (large), Alaska and P@H XL Syrian cage)

Yes, another zoozone would theoretically fit on my desk but I would have any room for my elbows to move while using my pc, so I’m looking for something a little bit smaller. Do you think the Alaska could hold a zoozone on top? That’s the only way I could stack as the zoozones only ventilation is on top, so I think that on the bottom would cut off the proper ventilation. I would love to provide more room obviously, but I never imagined having to find the space for two cages and they can’t go anywhere else in the house due to my dog and my roommate’s newly discovered hamster allergy ��

Obviously depends what you put in the zoozone by the Alaska should be able to take the weight

I've seen some things online that suggest that the alaska's bars are A) quite flimsy and B) kind of far apart for dwarfs (especially in the corners). Will I need to mesh the corners? I like the look of the cage but if there's any other suggestions close to £30~ I'm open to anything

You probably would have to add mesh to the corners of the Alaska for a robo. I have Russian dwarfs in Alaska and they've been fine but they're a fair bit larger. My roborovski Bub is in a custom built cage I found on Gumtree (i'll attach a picture) and it's perfect for him. If you're looking for something around 30 pounds I've never found anything better than the Alaska for the price and oh boy I have looked. The other options I'd recommend are Bin Cages (though you'd have to do some DIY) as there are lots of tutorials on YouTube and B&Q sell some pretty huge clear plastic storage bins for about 15 quid last time I checked if you're from the UK that is. Or check places like Gumtree/Craigslist to find something second hand, you might get lucky and find something great that's custom built like I did

This cage isn't cheap but it's great for a robo and the Zoozone could sit on top. I used this for our robo. It's basically the same as the Hamster Heaven but with narrow bar spacing - no door on top and the big front opening door is great for interaction with a robo. You need to take the grid shelf out though. I just added a wheel, a labyrinth house and a shelf and floor toys. Anything smaller than the Zoozone 1 would be too small.

Apart from the narrow bar spacing it is better built and much lower than the Alaska so avoids fall risks.

That is such a cool cage and i've just looked an there's not anything suitable right now, so I think I may just go for the alaska, and figure it out from there!

The Alaska is very tall for a robo - it would need a full level really. Even in something the height of the hamster heaven then can fall and injure themselves. They're such tiny little things.

I haven't seen him ever climb, and he's in a barred cage right now. How difficult would it be to make a full level compared to just making a bin cage?

Edit: Most bin cages seem to be quite long and thing too, does anyone know of any with similar dimensions to the zoozone medium?
