Default Paper bedding uk?

I really want to try paper bedding in the UK, something like kaytee, and the best I have found is this on amazon (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00CETSK...ing=UTF8&psc=1) Is this the cheapest option?

I do not know about cheapest option for that particular bedding, but I am using Carefresh bedding, also paper based and I would highly recommended. I bought it in a pet shop £20 for 60L.

I use Kaytee in my hospital and maternity cages and it’s a nice soft substrate that holds up to tunnelling and nest building well.

The last time I bought some I bought the largest bag from Amazon which is something like 85L as it worked out the best value for money for us.

Kaytee seems to be the cheapest where I live and as Fluffagrams said, it is very soft, has almost no dust at all and stands up very well to tunneling and they seem to love it. I have been using Carefresh until recently but it is a bit coarser and has quite a lot of dust but seems to combat odour better than Kaytee. Carefresh is quite expensive.

I would recommend Kaytee. Also, if you would like to use paper bedding you can use torn up toilet paper as nesting material. It is soft, snuggly and safe unlike cotton bedding which can be extremely dangerous.

Kaytee is really nice substrate but the cheapest option is probably Fitch you can get 10 or 20kg bags which are economical but need a bit of storage space.

How much does it expand? And how many square inches of a decent depth (for a robo) does the 1kg bag give?

Edit- Thank you very much for the link also it's normally a goose chase trying to find the product everyone is talking about lol

I use a small amount Kaytee paper litter but my main litter product is aspen shavings. I don’t think I would use only Kaytee as it wouldn’t hold as well as wood shavings.

Usually the larger the quantity the lower the cost.

I buy the Kaytee C&C 85l for £17.49 from Porton Aquatics near Salisbury but don't know how much the delivery charge is because its within driving distance.

A layer of timothy hay can also be added to give the substrate more substance but saying that, my dwarves love the Kaytee and seem to have no trouble building their tunnels.

Carefresh is fine too but a bit more dense and doesn't expand so much hence not as cost effective.

Fitch bedding is cheap and you can buy it in bulk, really soft paper bedding, great for burrowing. I had gerbils in the past and they loved it. Another benefit is that it doesn't get stuck to the hair of the long haired syrian I recently rescued.

I've only ever had the 10 or 20kg bags of fitch so I can't really imagine how far 1kg bag would go tbh but that is more of a trail size really.
