Default Is this a suitable cage for a dwarf hamster?

I was in Pets at Home and saw this cage, if I were to put a more fine mesh over the existing stuff would it be suitable?

It would depend on the species of hamster you are thinking of getting.
I have the Savic PLaza and love it size wise for my Syrians.
I think the rabbit cage is 8 cm higher than the savic plaza, so I would be concerned about the height, but as long as you put levels in such as shelves, so no big drops that could potentially hurt your hamster.
If you are after a different species other than Syrian, someone else on here may have more advice, but I would certainly think the rabbit cage would be a bit high for them, as I know others have mentioned the savic plaza is too high at 50cm unless broken up with shelving etc for the smaller hamsters.

Edit:
oopss sorry ignore all that , i just saw it's for a dwarf, I would avoid the rabbit one for a dwarf. I would wait to see what other opinion would be on the savic plaza, but like i said, i know peopel will comment you will need to break that height up. Others may be able to recommend a better cage for dwarfs.

Ok thanks! It would cost more for the rabbit one considering putting a finer mesh over top compared to the savic.

You could have a look at the cages on Zooplus.

I would say no to both cages tbh, if by dwarf you mean a Russian hybrid do be aware that they do have a tendency to fall, they are good at climbing up things but then tend to just let go & fall so even with shelves to break up the height you could still have a potential problem, a lower cage would be a better option by far.
I'm not too up to date with cages right now so not sure if there are any new ones about but although only just big enough really the hamster heaven (used without the penthouse & tubes which can be blocked off) is quite a good cage for a Russian.
The Alaska on Zooplus is a bit bigger but still a little on the tall side so is ok but needs very careful set up to be suitable.
