Foraging wood from back yard what is safe???
Hello all I've been doing some reading but keep getting conflicting info and I definitely don't want to make my hammy sick! I want to gather some branches from my backyard but am not sure what wood is safe? If someone could include a list of safe materials to use to make a naturalistic habitat that would be great thank you!

Re: Foraging wood from back yard what is safe???
It's important that the branches/trees haven't been sprayed with any chemicals, pesticides etc.
I've used hazel, apple and pear tree branches from my organic garden but bake them for an hour at 100C before i give them to my hamsters to kill off any bugs that might be lurking in the wood.
