Smile Dwarf hamster cages UK

Does anyone know of the best dwarf hamster cage available in the UK? I’ve currently got the Savic plaza for my Syrian Theodore, and I’m looking to get a dwarf hamster too however I’m unsure on cages. I do have a bin cage but am wondering what else is on the market?

I've housed my robo in the pets at home XL Syrian cage. The bar spacing is 1/4" so no dwarf can get through (in theory). I've since upgraded to the zoozone 2 which is actually a guinea pig cage but I've meshed the top where the bars are to stop my ham getting out.

Whatever cage you chose I'd advise looking at bar spacing. 1/4" or roughly 6mm-7mm is ideal for dwarfs as they can often squeeze through larger spaces of typical Syrian and rat cages which are normally spaced at 1/2" or 1cm

Do you have a budget? Do you have limited space? These are factors which will narrow down your search

If you’re able to use ZooPlus I recommend the Barney or Alaska. The Barney is a bit larger but the Alaska is very affordable. In my opinion, both have a great amount of space for the average dwarf. The Living World Eco Green cages are also great looking and pretty large, but are a bit more pricey.

If I was to get the Barney cage is that suitable for a robo?

I like the Duna Multy. It's very spacious and there are no bars to worry about (other than the lid). It allows for several inches of bedding. If you wanted to go bigger there is also the Maxi Duna Multy.

The Pets at Home XL cage has a deeper tray and narrower bar spacing than their other cages, making it more appropriate for dwarfs. At 70x40cm it's just a bit narrower than the Duna Multy.
