I've used megazorb for the tray in our chinchilla cage in the past, was going to buy some more to use for both the chins and hamsters, but I've heard complaints recently that it's a lot more dusty than it used to be. Has anybody encountered this? My wife suffers badly from allergies and I don't want to waste money on if I can't use it!

I do find it quite dusty actually. I'm not so keen on the smell either but the hamsters seem to like it.
Have you thought of the Fitch bedding Nod? It is meant to be good for people with allergies

I bought some the other weekend as it happens, as found a very local farm shop on the fitch resellers page!

Did a partial clean of pixel and Inch so they have a mix of shavings, hay and fitch. It seems to have confused them somewhat as they have now stopped sleeping in their house and are now sleeping in an open nest Otherwise they seem very happy with it.

We also tried it in the bottom of the Chinchilla tray, but as it's quite chunky they were able to grab it and pull it up in to their cage. Not that they did anything with it once they pulled it up, but it made a bit of a mess. I'm hoping they were just curious and once they realize it's not treats they will leave it alone and we can use one bedding for all the little ones. We don't have the storage space for multiple bales around the house!

I've used fitch but hate the smell so thinking of switching to megazorb. Where can I buy it from? I've seen it on eBay for about £19.

If you go on their site you can find a list of stockists or if you ask your local equine supplier they may be able to order for you. Ours does and it costs around £10 a bag.

Postage is £7 here so if you ordered say 2 bags plus £7 postage that wouldn't be too bad would it os it is only £7.69 a bag and you can get other items too .

I use Auboise and haven't had any issues. Doesn't seem like many of us use it though. Is there something I don't know about it? I do use lots of bedding on top of it too.
