Re: Megazorb and Aubiose
I love megazorb. I haven't tried Aubiose but have tried something similar which i like the look of but isn't as absorbant.I love carefresh too but it's so expensive.i tried finacard but am not keen on it so once I used this sack up I won;t get any more. What i'm planning to do is buy megazorb and this hemp bedding and mix them, sprinkle a bit of carefresh on the top and voila

Re: Megazorb and Aubiose
I use Megazorb for all our guineas & hamsters and find it great. I am allergic to so much stuff but am ok with Megazorb . Sorry to hear you've found it dusty recently Jodzie04, maybe it's a not so good batch, might be worth emailing Northern Crop Dryers about it.

It's been the same with the last 3 bags and have heard this from other people too =(
The bottom of the cages always have a thin layer of black dust now!

Re: Megazorb and Aubiose
megazorb is way more absorbent but i have dust allergies so cant use it anymore =( have tried all sorts and wanted to try fitch bedding but bales on ebay are £16 including postage whereas bales of aubiose are about £8 at local farm shop. doesnt take a genious to figure out which ill be going back to! its not the best bedding ever but hams can burrow in it and it does seem to last a good long while. bought a bale a few months back and still got loads of it left. much more economical.x

I wouldn't use any type of shavings for rabbits unless you have a thick layer of hay on top. I learnt the hard way that shavings are bad for rabbits as I'm paying around £40 every few months for medication for the one rabbit I used shavings with. She has a permanent upper respiratory tract infection and I regret not researching it first my rabbits have lino now and their litter trays are lined with newspaper then filled with hay. Not sure on chinchillas!

Re: Megazorb and Aubiose
My dad has found a horse supplies shop! So now I can get bags of megazorb for £7.40! So happy.. This bag is really good too, only slightly dusty at the bottom of the bag.
It's in Sutton and called The Hungry Horse
(He also found bales of hay for £6! So the rabbits won't be costing me £16 a month on hay for pets hay haha! ...only £16 every 2 months.. Hehe)
