Exclamation Heat lamps

My house is always cold and my hamster is sleeping all the time! I have given her more bedding. My real question is should I get her a heat lamp? Or do y’all have any other ideas on to keep my hamster warm??

What’s the temperature in your house ? Can you put an electric heating pad under the cage ? Maybe use a timer so it doesn’t overheat ?

My house is set to 63 due to my mother in-law! I put the heating pad under her cage! Let see if this work! I hope so! I miss her cute little face!

Maybe a blanket over part of her cage to keep some of the heat in? Just be careful to allow for ventilation too. Could you put her cage in a small room and use a space heater? Oil heaters put out a more steady heat than electric portable heaters.

I use a reptile heat mat under Eddie's vivarium as well as wrapping the sides with polystyrene and tin foil. Make sure you use a thermostat so it doesn't get too hot.
