Dwarf hamster cage
I've been searching the internet for a new cage for Percy but can't find what i'm looking for.
What i want is a barred cage, around 80cm wide but low in height, with a good sized front door and a top door and with a small bar spacing.
Something like the Alaska but lower. The Alexander and Barney cages are too wide for the space i have available and the Alaska is too high and so is the Hamster Haven.
I think i'm looking for the impossible but saw a green Pet Ting cage thats 78cm wide and low but they don't list the bar spacing. I have asked them awaiting reply.
Does anyone know of a cage i haven't seen that meets my requirements?

Re: Dwarf hamster cage
I think the Savic Mickey 2XL and the Hamster Heaven are technically the same height, but the listed height on the Savic website varies since the Hamster Heaven has the penthouse and such. The Mickey 2XL is 38 cm high which is a pretty reasonable height especially since part of that is the base, but it's still a decent 80 cm x 50 cm size.
I'm not sure how hard it would be to get the Mickey 2XL but if that is an option for you it would be a fairly good cage in terms of size, ventilation, and happens to have a great front door(basically a Hamster Heaven door).
The Mickey 2XL does come with what seems to be a small Sputnik, a wheel(very unlikely to actually work for any hamster including robos as the Rolly wheels come in medium which is not even 6 inches in diameter which is probably what you'd get), a bottle, a plastic tunnel(possible free floor time/playpen/etc toy), and a horrible wire platform that'll need to be thrown out. It also apparently comes with a plastic food bowl but I'd not use that in the cage along with the plastic tunnel.

Re: Dwarf hamster cage
Thanks Amityville, that's what confused me. They include the penthouse/tubes when stating the hamster haven's height and its not really as high as i thought!
Yes, you are right, both of these cages are suitable options for a dwarf hamster. I'd replace most plastic with more natural items and a wire platform would have to go.
