Post Advice on tube expansion?

Hello!
Right now I have a Zoozone medium cage (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Zoozone-620...c=1&th=1&psc=1) currently housing one hamster, he has plenty of enrichment including a few chew toys, puzzles, a 12 inch wheel and tunnels inside the house however he’s still growing so although he hasn’t shown any signs of cage rage yet I’m hoping to add an extension such as a ovo and tubing leading outside the cage.
The extra space also allows for me to give him sandbaths more often (in the current cage there’s not much floor space) and allows him to practice tunnelling since from what I’ve seen he’s a very avid tunneller.
Any advice on how to do this and what tubes to buy for a Syrian? Also would you recommend attaching another cage or just an ovo? I have about 50 saved up to spend on this rn
Thank you if anyone responds

You say that your cage is currently housing one hamster. I'm only checking that you are aware that you can only house one Syrian hamster in one cage because they have to live alone.

Sorry but i can't advise you on your question because personally, i'm not keen on tubes or ovo and prefer a natural set up plus i like to be able to clean things should hamster pee in it. Have you seen the thread "let's see your cages" on the Forum under Housing? Good place to get ideas.

Hi, I personally would not get an ovo. Re tunnelling have you thought of something like the extendible tubes like these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Snuggle-Saf...y&sr=8-1-fkmr0
You can use them on the floor or hang from ceiling, if room permits. You just puncture 2 holes at either end and tie with some sisal or jute or other hamster safe string. You can make them small or long and bend them.
Or a whicker tunel like these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Trixie-Wick...gateway&sr=8-1
again you can hang from the ceiling, or from floor to ceiling.

Although I think you are trying to extend to make a bigger cage. You say you have about £50 saved. Have you thought of trading up for a bigger cage zooplus do the barney for £59 https://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/small...r_cages/189303
you could then sell your current cage, I am only suggesting this as a possibility as I think you are implying you want more space.

Thank you, I’ll look into it :3
The issue I got now is whilst the old cage was perfect for the 2 robos who lived in it before (don’t worry I washed it thoroughly) I just feel like it’s too single levelled for the guy I guess? The barney does look good for that purpose tho so I suppose I just gotta convince my parents that it’s better for the hammie (they think even the current cage is too big so)
