Default teddy's new set-up!

a few days ago i went out and bought that little package of kaytee clean & cozy, as i was wanting to switch from carefresh to that. it expanded to so much more than i thought possible from such a small bag and i really like it.

so today i went out and bought the larger bag (the 49L one or something?). i want to say teddy's cage is now about 70/30 kaytee and carefresh. the carefresh is mostly off to one side (the left in the photos below).

so this evening when teddy started to wake up is when i decided to add some more bedding and such. i also got him a new hanging chew today as well as he absolutely destroyed his previous one.

so, on to his new setup. i was struggling with keeping the bedding away from his wheel, so i took his two bendy bridges to make a sort of wall, keeping the side with lots of bedding (i want to say 7-8 inches before it gets pressed down by his walking) away from the other side which has about 2-3 inches. the low side has his wheel, water, food dish (i also scatter feed throughout the cage), one wicker chew and one wooden chew, as well as the hanging chew.

the higher side has his temporary hide, an empty tissue box with the bottom cut out and two doors cut out, which is currently there after i removed the knuff because he was chewing on it and i found that it was bad for him to chew on that. i'm going to be finding a good shoe box or a gift box from the dollar store as a better hide hopefully tomorrow. he has gone into the kleenex box but instead of burrowing under it he just lifts it up and flips it over.

he also has his whimzee alligator, a cardboard tube and another couple wooden chews.

i've attached some photos as well! sorry for the long post, i just wanted to share what i've done with his cage (which is a 665 sq in, 104-L bin cage btw) and see if anyone has any tips!
