I have the exo terra, you can often pick them up on eBay or gumtree. I have a shelf in mine, I just pop to the wood yard and smile sweetly. Lol. I support them on dowels nailed into the wood. I absolutely love it as a cage. It gives me great access and it's been the easier cage to tame from. Eddie happily comes to the front of the doors to come out. I'm fully converted to exo terra!

How high up would the cage be? I think a savic plaza with a full level would be hard to clean and have some access issues as well. With the Hamster Heaven, if you remove all the plastic stuff and just have an empty cage with the tube hole blockers on, it is a great cage. I have the Savic Mickey 2XL which our robo was in (it is exactly the same as the Hamster Heaven except none of the plastic contents/tubes/penthouse and has narrow bar spacing). I mentioned the Hamster Heaven because it's cheaper and more easily available.

For cleaning - you can either do things through the big front door or just lift the top off. It's a lot harder cleaning a 100cm cage and lifting the top off! I just think the Hamster Heaven is the ideal height for a dwarf hamster.

Will add a picture of my Savic Mickey 2XL set up from scratch as an empty cage so you get the idea.

First photo is when it was set up for a Syrian. Second photo was set up for our Robo.

The cages with doors on top would be difficult for access and cleaning too if the cage is higher up. One thing I do like about the Hamster Heaven and Mickey 2XL is the good cage clips which make the top bars easy to get on and off. The big front opening door makes for good access and because there's no door on top you can use the whole roof to attach things to. I added a large rat tube to the syrian set up above, tied to the roof and leading from the house roof to the rat sputnik - so it made a kind of roof run.

For the robo set up I have both a wheel, saucer, a labyrinth house and a shelf - and still loads of floor space - it's a good cage for a dwarf hamster. Not too far for them to fall if they climb the bars.

I’ll have a look at them both. The maxi Duna multy looks really nice as well. And the cage won’t be too high up, it’ll be smaller than me but just high enough that the bunnies can’t get to it. My room just looks a mess with all the c and c grids blocking them from the cage and I want something that’ll look better.
