Thanks for the tips. Mimi is fortunate to have a caring owner like you already, and you have built such a lovely home for her. She sounds like such an adorable little curious creature (Of course, Dora sounds sweet too, my own hamster seems more like a Dora)! Maybe Mimi will settle in soon enough.

Ha ha! Adorable little bean She is lucky you have adopted her and given her such a wonderful habitat! It looks amazing and I am sure she will keep very busy organising it. She probably tried to escape due to the new cage thing - but I guess she may be just an escape artist too!

Similar thing here. Charlie and Newt totally different personalities (both boys). Charlie very dozy and retiring and never wanting to come out. Newt wanting to take over the whole house, never sits still out of the cage. He is more retiring now he's older.

Lol, yes, we called Dora “Dora-bean” and it sort of stuck! Poor little Dora, she was the gentlest ham who got an awful cancer and died in January too early...

Anyway, Mimi hasn’t raised Merry hell overnight which is a good sign..!all looks calm in the detolf so hopefully she’s settling in. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for all the nice comments about the set up. I learnt it all from Erin and you guys in here!
