Default My cage is too small.

Sooooo.... today I realized my hamster cage is too small. It is 12x18 inches. I can’t afford an aquarium or IKEA thing... what should I do? I’m only really able to spend 20 dollars. I’m not sure what exactly to do. Any ideas?

An IKEA Samla bin the biggest size is 20 dollars if I convert it from Saudi Riyal. The bin is nearly double the size. YouTube has great tutorials on how to put mesh on the lid etc. It costs 10 dollars here for a soldering iron. You could ask family or friends if they have a soldering iron to lend you and spare mesh lying around or not being used. You could also go to the local hardware store and asked them if they have any off cut mesh to sell you...get inventive in trying to find ways to not have to spend money on the mesh, cable ties and way of cutting an area in the lid. Hope this helps.

Look into the bin cages, I see you are in California, I have seen online many people from the USA who get bin cages for $5-$10

Yes, that is what I have been using. It’s a Sterlite plastic bin. I think I will look around for a bigger one, but it is difficult to find one that is translucent. Thanks for the reply!
