A question...
How often do you change your hamsters cage around? I mean by switching out toys etc / moving things around?
Would this be stressful to my hamster if I did this at every clean out?

Re: A question...
The overall cage layout should stay the same every time. Switching toys out is more for human enjoyment than for the hamsters, as they find change to be quite stressful and stress leads to a lower immune system and then that leads to potentially becoming ill!

Re: A question...
I keep the wheel hides and water in the same place but will also change other things, like tubes etc..
I take something out and put something different in. I do one change at a time and see how the particular hamster responds. Let your hamsters response guide you on wether it likes things changed or not and the frequency of any change.
My new hamster is still settling in (had him for 10 days) so no changes for him yet.
