Talking Recommended Bin cage size

Hi all!

Me and Adam have decided our Alf needs a cage upgrade, as much as he seems happy in his bin cage we feel he could benefit from more space, and we feel like he could benefit from some more enrichment in his cage. He has enrichment now but not as much as we'd like without leaving him space to potter about. So our question is;

What is the minimum requirement for a bin cage size, I remember it was 80 X 50 but that was a couple of years ago now.

Can you suggest some bin cages which are appropriate

Can we have exact dimensions for Height, Length and Width of your bin cage, please!

Thanks and looking forwards to your answers

Lucy, Adam and Alf! x

Default Re: Recommended Bin cage size

There is no actual enforceable minimum cage size but individual sources may quote their own size recommendations which is often around 80x50cm.

I think people often recommend the largest Ikea Samla bin as a good option. I use 'Really Useful Boxes' bins for mine but the larger sizes can work out to be fairly pricey.
