Is it a cork log tunnel? They often come with dried moss stuck to the outside and it's fine Hard to tell from the photo but if it isn't dried moss and it is wood that has gone mouldy then no it wouldn't be fine!

It is birch and I don't think it's moss. It looks an awful lot like mould. Should I return it to the shop or can I sterilise it in some way?
