Question Syrian cages

So I am having some trouble find a cage or bin I could use that is affordable (under 60pounds) for Syrians. If you have any Syrians, please post a picture of your cage plus it’s name and price. This will help many people looking for an appropriate cage for a Syrian hamster (encluding myself) so please lend a paw if you can.
Thank you!

Have you looked at Zooplus?
The Barney is a good cage & not much over sixty, if that is too expensive the Alaska is really cheap, a little on the small side for syrians but still a good cage.

I just posted on your other thread about the Barney. I have it for our Syrian

Will post some pictures of the various set ups I've had in it. Both our Syrians have been very happy in that cage - our current Syrian and our previous one. Postage is free when you buy a cage from Zooplus and the cage is good value as it comes with everything you need except a wheel, substrate and toys - and a litter tray. Note my cage is a different colour.

The wheel in it is the 12" silent runner. It can attach to the bars so there is still plenty of substrate under the wheel increasing the floor area even more.

I've got the Mamble 100cm, i got mine on ebay for £54 including delivery, but sometimes amazon have it for cheaper. Its tall though so you need to fit levels to prevent falls, but i easily and cheaply made some using cardboard and cable ties. Its still not fully decorated yet as im waiting on a big acessories order, but you get the picture. The levels are great as they well over double the floor space. The major bonus with this cage is the wire collapses so its flat packable, which, for me, is essential for a cage of this size.

The Mamble is very tall and does need a full level making So the Barney is a bit easier and has more floor space. I think the Barney is the cheapest 100cm cage.

Smile Re: Syrian cages

I’ve heard of the Barney cage and It seems like a great cage except for the price tag. Oh well. I’ll be willing to do it if it means my hamster will be happy and healthy. It will probably save me money in the long run, if it means I won’t have to buy a house and another cage if my first one isn’t suitable.
Thank you all for your help, and I am sure my future hamsters will appreciate it.
Thank you all!

Ah the price isn’t normally £66! It is normally about £54. Zooplus have this thing sometimes where a cage will go up to full price when normally it’s a discounted price - and sometimes on special offer at £49. If you wait a few days the price may come down again because for £69 you could get the Alexander which is a great cage - although personally I prefer the Barney as you can put the wheel wherever you want. In the Alexander there are limited places you can put it.
