Default Large Sand Baths

So one aspect I want to include in my hamster's natural cage is a larger sand bath because my current Syrian has currently taken a huge liking to them, unlike all my past Syrians. He uses the corner as a litter tray and the other one as bathing, digging and cleaning area. His corner tray is fine but his other bath is just a small tray and just put it in there not expecting much but surprised from his liking to them.

I want to dedicate a large area of the cage to sand bathing area but can't find a large enough bath. Does anyone know of anything? I want a bath/tray and not just section the sand off but bendy bridges because I find the sand gets everywhere. I've seen people use acrylic trays but those are way too expensive for me. Does anyone know any?

Also as a side note this has nothing to do with the topic but does anyone know good brands of Aspen, I've been looking at a 14.5kg bale called Aspen Bed 1?

I bought an enamelled pie dish and filled it with sand. My Syrian hamster loves it and uses it nightly.

I'm not too sure what you're budget is, but I use these ones from Rodipet for all my hamsters. They also have a smaller option, and Getzoo have a couple options too. They're all have a nice depth to them too, so the sand won't get kicked everywhere as opposed to something shallower, like a baking tray or something.

I’ve used empty biscuit boxes (like the ones you get the fancy selection boxes in around christmas), tupperware, and cardboard boxes to make large sandbaths.

I have a decent sized, shallow rectangular tupperware dish that I use for Pip's sand bath. He enjoys it a lot, doing the same thing you said your ham does. He used a small corner for pee/poo and the rest of it for rolling in!

It doesn't have to be fancy, more of an owner's preference as the ham will enjoy whatever you give them most likely, as long as its decently sized
