Lightbulb Help with wire flooring

Hi,
My syrian is in a glass tank with a cage attachment on top (kind of resembles a rat cage but only about 30cm high). Everything is fine, except the cage attachment has wire floor. I have tried to cover the floor with cardboard but she chews it all within 5 minutes. I've looked online and there seems to be some kind of hemp floor which you can buy but I think she would chew that as well - its pretty expensive too so I wouldnt be able to replace it every day!
I don't want to take the attachment off because she loves going up there. I know floor space is more important to hamsters than height, but she just enjoys being up there.
I'm wondering if theres any other solution to covering the floor - she is a huge chewer so obviously nothing like fleece or towel will be safe. I'm in the UK so anything I could buy in a shop here, or online, would be great x

Other than cardboad or hemp, the only option I can think of is removing the floor if possible and replacing it with a wooden platform. I’d try the hemp mat though, none of my big chewers have even showed interest in chewing it

Hemp mat might work but I've found they like to pull it apart for nesting & it may get chewed, the best thing would be to remove the wire floor, a wooden shelf or platform should work.

Is the wire floor removable? If not then sticking something over the top is the only real option. Could you get a piece of wood cut to size at the diy store and put it over the wire floor so it covers it. Even if she chews the wood I doubt she'd chew through it completely. Cardboard is there to be chewed - to a hamster

Hi all,
thanks for your advice! the wire level is not removable there arent any DIY stores near me, I don't have a car and I'm a student so I don't have any tools in my house lol - is there anywhere i could buy wood online and if so which wood is safe? I might try the hemp mat first and if that doesnt work at least shes had something fun to chew :P

How about this? It may not completely cover the wire shelf, but if there's a gap at the back you could put a bit of cardboard there. A smaller bit of cardboard is easier to keep replacing. Or two overlapping mats? These can be safely chewed and would take some destroying I think so she may not bother.

I just saw those! I've just ordered the hemp floor - hopefully that will work and if not I'll try those next. Thank you for your help! x
