Which wheel?
So I've always been planning to get the Trixie 28cm wheel as it's large and quite cheap. The only downside was I would have to colour it if I got a very vibrant one like the pink or green/blue as it's very obnoxious.
However, I've added up all the costs and am considering the Kaytee 12 inch Silent Spinner (for a Syrian) as I can afford it.I'm also worried it won't fit in my cage. It's 23.49 on Amazon. I remember having a 6.5-inch wheel with a past Robo and it was fine for a few weeks until it started to rattle and I couldn't fix it
But, I also remember the Trixie I used for many Syrians always squeaked and I didn't know what oil to use and how to apply it.
Which wheel do you think I should go for the Trixie or the Silent Spinner? Any other recommendations? How would you make a wheel as quiet as possible with oil?

Re: Which wheel?
How would you safely colour the Trixie wheel? I think it's pot luck with those tbh, some are ok but others are horribly noisy.
The silent spinners really don't seem to work well now so I wouldn't bother with that one.
Not sure which cage or tank you decided on so don't know which wheels will fit but the best wheels are the silent runners & the wooden wheels from Zooplus. Both silent good wheels. The wooden one would need to be plastikoted.

Re: Which wheel?
I’d go for the wooden Trixie wheel, the Silent Runner, or Wodent Wheel. Rodipet also do a wooden wheel but I’m not sure if its silent. The wooden Trixie wheel is the cheapest option.
The plastic Trixie wheel is very noisy, not much cheaper than the wooden version, and my hamsters never seemed to like it much (I think the ridges on the running track make it uncomfortable). Silent spinners are still very hit or miss it seems
