Post Where do i buy chewing toys in Europe (Denmark)

Hello, i recently got my Syrian female hamster, and i bought a salt stone for her cause the petstore told me she would chew on it, but she is not. so i would like to know where i could buy some chewing toys for her and something i could use temporally.

I would definitely not use a salt stone for your hammy as it is not that healthy for them. Instead, I would suggest purchasing a few Whimzee's dog chews at the pet store. They come in various sizes and shapes, and hammies tend to truly love them as a chew toy. They are very popular and do wonders for helping to keep the teeth trimmed nicely.

You need to get rid of the salt stone as that can be harmful for them, apart from apple or hazel sticks that you may be able to buy in pet shops whimzee dog chews are the best chew enjoyed by most hams.
I found this (I think it's Denmark!) https://www.dollardog.dk/maerker/whimzees
As long as your ham has a good diet chews aren't essential so don't worry about it too much, it does provide extra enrichment if they have something they enjoy chewing but it's not totally necessary.

Yes they do keep growing & need to be worn down but eating their food does that.

Syrians don’t need to chew much, Whimzees and willow sticks are fine. They’re only actual chews I use but I also use a lot of chewable wooden toys and hides that my hammies like to have the occasional nibble on. Zooplus and Rodipet are both great for wooden toys and hides.
