Default wheel height size?

Hi, so I made a diy cage, its height is around 35 cm, though this could vary a bit. Would the 11" Trixie Wheel fit? I currently have an 8.5" inch wheel, but I would like to upgrade.

https://www.amazon.com/Trixie-Exerci...s=trixie+wheel

It says the whole height with the stand is 33 cm, but I would like to know if this is true? I donīt want to spend on something that wonīt fit lol.

Thanks.

I think it is 33cm from memory. I tried to fit it in a 35cm tall cage once and it should have fitted - but scraped the top of the cage. It's because the cage base had slight raised area in the centre so the height wasn't the same all round,

You also need to allow the depth of the lid sitting on the cage (if that makes sense). It should fit - providing the base of the cage is flat and the lid doesn't dip down into the height. I think some people have managed to bend/doctor the stand if it didn't quite fit.

Another option would be the 27cm wodent wheel which is still an 11" wheel but slightly less tall. I think it's 31.5 to 32cm tall. But it's hard to get hold of sometimes. Easy to find in the US.

Sadly, I donīt live in the US. Im from Mexico. I shop there because the accessories sold here are not proper accessories. Wodent Wheels donīt ship here, the trixie does, another is the silents spinners and comfort wheel 12" but that doesnīt fit. So Ive got the Trixie and the silent spinner, but id rather the trxie since its not that fat hahaha.

Forgot to mention that the lid is 15mm thick melamine so it should add 1.5 cm to the height? Hopefully. So would you reckon it could fit, at the very base, no bedding height in that area at least?

EDIT: I found a wodent wheel, and i researched a bit. the height of my cage is around the ikea detolf with a lid on the bars, so would the wodent wheel fit?

It should fit as long as you only have shallow substrate in the wheel area. Another option is the new 10 inch Silent Spinner by Kaytee. From what ive seen, it doesnt have the same stiffness issues as the other silent spinners and at 10 inches it should fit in the cage well.

Ooh I didn't know there was a new 10" Silent Spinner. Just googled it. However there does seem to be an issue with them breaking (stand not strong enough for wheel) - this video and the comments from others too.

Melamine lid 1.5cm deep from 35cm tall cage = 33.5 cm. Trixie wheel should just fit.
