Hmm - I think the detolf is great and always wanted one - and so much space. But - a 100cm cage is a great size for a Syrian and I much prefer the accessibility of barred cages and the option to use the bars for setting up. So now - I would probably choose a cage over a detolf.

I think any hamster would be happy in a detolf though and there's a lot of scope to make an amazing habitat for them. But I like front opening doors on cages and 100cm is a great cage for a Syrian.
