P@H Extrra Large hamster cage!
Pets at Home have rcently started selling a 30x 70 cm version of their wire hamster cage! Still a little below the recommended minimum but it’s a great improvement over some of their previous cages (anyone remember their 20x30cm cages?). From the images online, it looks like the wheel might be slightly larger too? I also noticed they’ve started selling the Hamster Heaven in store as well as online.

They are getting better and it's an improvement. I've found that if you enquire in the store, they go their website and have bigger. Not everything is on the internet site.

I saw this yesterday, also it has narrower spaced bars, not sure of the measurement but a good thing for dwarfs

It is an improvement. The dimensions are confusing though - 70 x 29 x 48. I wondered if 29 was the height rather than 48 but it looks taller than 29 (but not as tall as 48cm). It would be a shame if it was only 29cm deep as the length is good but the depth not good if only 29cm.

I’m a little confused as well, it doesn’t look thin enough to be only 29cm wide, I used to have a 70 x 30 bin cage and it was way more narrow. Maybe they meant 39?
I haven’t seen the cage in store yet (though one of my local p@h has the HH in store now!). If it wasn’t £40 I’d probably pick one up becuse I do like the purple version and that the platform height look to be adjustable.

Re: P@H Extrra Large hamster cage!
I think the cage depth must be the 48cm because of the Ferplast shelf in it - which is about 40cm I think (and comes across about half way along the length). So that means the height is 29cm but it looks more like 39cm you're right. The hamster heaven is 38cm tall (without the Penthouse) and it looks a similar height.
If anyone goes to see one, maybe they could measure it! Anyway it looks good for a smaller but not too small cage.

Re: P@H Extrra Large hamster cage!
yeah, it looks about the same height as my Ruffy (same measurements as the HH). Those little plastic ferplast houses are around 10cm tall it does look like they meant to put 39cm. I’ll definitely get measurements if I see one in my local store!
It seems to be around the size of a Duna Multy so it’s a good size for a dwarf still. Maybe p@h will release their own rebrand of the Multy as an extra large plastic cage (like they did with the mini duna fun)?

Re: P@H Extrra Large hamster cage!
Seen this cage today in my local p@h store - it looks really good and a good improvement.
I realised I should have taken a photo of the label for the dimensions but if I remember correctly they are 71cm (l) x 46 (w) and 41 (h)cm.

Looking at the photo online I'd say those dimensions sound about right SKB, it is an improvement although still small, the doors are horrible though!

Re: P@H Extrra Large hamster cage!
It is 70x46x40 as I’ve just measured it. With a 6 inch base too which is really good. I’m quite impressed with it, it looks quite spacious so good for a dwarf! The hamster heaven was next to it and really didn’t look much bigger. The doors aren’t tiddly so access isn’t too bad. Still not exactly worth £40 though!
