Sandy cage
So, having just done a bit of moving around within my hamsters cage, my hamster has essentially emptied her sand bath/litter tray (which is in a dog bowl XD) out of the bowl into the substrate (I don't think the two were related, she just does this sometimes!). There's sand EVERYWHERE!
I don't know whether to do a partial substrate change or to leave things for about a fortnight when I was going to do one anyway...
Also, if you guys could link me to some enclosed sand bath houses with large lips that would be AMAZING!!

Re: Sandy cage
I used rabbit corner litter trays for some of my past syrians. They are good because they are nice and tall at the back.
Some people use cookienglass jars which sit on their sides.
I am currently using a mini lasagne dish for my new baby syrian

Re: Sandy cage
aww she's adorable!! Is she a sable banded?
I've bought a cookie jar - hopefully the little lady will find it adequate, as she does love a bath :3.
Should I do a partial substrate change do you think? Or just leave it? It is VERY sandy, but I don't want to freak her out unnecessarily
Thanks muchly
