Sand bath (For my fat fluffy Syrian!)
My hammie loves her sand bath and I notice her go into it mulitple times when shes awake (her fur smells so nice and feels so fluffy!). However, she loves to dig! And it just gets everywhere in her cage! She's also a pretty big teddy bear hamster in my opinion.. I feel like she doesn't understand that she's not as small as she thinks she is (she's escaped 3x and each time was so easy to get her cause her butt always got stuck between somewhere... my fatty cake!)
She'll dig and I'll see sand thrown into the air like 2ft. above her (lol exaggeration) 😂
So I'm looking online for a bigger sandbath for her to play in and avoid the sand scatter..
Please can someone give me a second opinion on the items I've considered buying from amazon?
Option 1:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...KIKX0DER&psc=1
Option 2:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...=AMZB5QKPRGHAY
Please and thank you!

The purple one looks cool, you may have to take off the tag though

Right! I'm hoping she fits in either one I decide to get.. I can't really tell which one is bigger though (and I suck at understanding dimensions lol) Thanks for the vote!
And omg yes, she would chew on it! Thanks!

Some people use glass jars with flat sides so they dont roll. Metalica hamsters has some good you tube vids. I am pretty sure she has a jar for one of her hamsters.
I use ceramic lasagne dishes and have used rabbit corner litter trays for previous syrian hamsters.

Both look too small for an adult syrian. We use a ceramic lasagne dish about 9in by 6inches and they normally use these as a potty after rolling in them.

Are any of these options similar to what you have?

We use a rectangular one which you can likely find in any general store or likes of Walmart in the USA

I use a snap ware containers for sand baths. They are nomad large and are easy to clean. Just make sure he dosen’t chew on the plastic though.
