Default Buying bedding, where from?

So I don't have a car, therefore I need to buy all my bedding online.
I've been buying bedding from amazon, have 2 hamsters.
The bedding I usually buy is carefresh and aspen bedding (for terrariums).
Due to the size of cage and how thick the layer is, I use 6 litres of the aspen and a 10-litre carefresh per hamster.
I change most the bedding every 6 weeks with regular spot cleaning.

Is there a cheaper place where I could buy bigger bags or even similar items?

Fitch is about the best & most economical, you can buy 10 or 20kg bags, with 3 hams the 10kg bag lasts me quite a while but if you have room to store it the 20kg bag is cheaper.

Where are you located? It can be somewhat pricier or cheaper to buy certain beddings depending upon location. If you’re in then UK- Cypher’s recommendation is a good one. However, purchasing Fitch in the US is generally very expensive. Knowing where you’re based will help us more

I'm in the UK Midlands area. Is fitch good at odour control?

I prefer Megazorb as a substrate and find that it's far superior to Fitch in terms of absorbency and my cages can go a lot longer between clean outs than they did on Fitch.

I buy it from a local equine shop now but in the past I have ordered it from Millbry Hill and they've been pretty good: https://www.millbryhill.co.uk/equest.../megazorb-p744

I second megazorb, have never had a dodgy smell or dust problem buying from millbry hill. Fitch I like too especially for Syrians.

Both Fitch and Megazorb, from what I’ve been told, are good for odor control and keeping things tidy. Both are quite high quality and economical, so whichever is easier for you to obtain is perfectly fine

Out of the two, which is good for burrowing?
Both of them love making burrows and nesting.
My current set-up allows burrows to stay in shape for them

I have found that Megazorb has held up very well to my hamsters burrowing efforts but Fitch can sometimes be better for nesting. Saying that though, my hamsters have been able to build themselves a nice nest with Megazorb and ripped up toilet tissue.

Mine all seem to do fine with burrows in fitch, they hold well & the hams love it.
