Rodipet items in Canada? Or a Rodipet store that ships to Canada?
There is a substantial number of Rodipet items I am interested in for my future hamster. Unfortunately, while I have a sister who lives in the channel islands, Rodipet only ship to Great Britain proper. There are some others in my extended family/circle of friends who live in Europe, but I do not know if we are operating on a "I need hamster items can you ship them to me -- I'll e-transfer you!" basis.
I've tried ebay, amazon, googling, and searching here, but I have yet to find my unicorn - a shop that carries a lot of Rodipet, but ships to Canada or USA.
Anyone know any good leads? I am very tired of power sellers selling copies, and amazon being basically indistinguishable from Wish now. There are also some frightening reviews about some of the items.
I am going for a natural cage look, and Rodipet has such beautiful (wallet-murdering) things.

The only places I know Rodipet sell from are their own online store and Amazon in the Uk and Europe. I'm sure you could get similar things elsewhere - reptile shops sell things like the cork logs and hemp bedding. Amazon in the US sell a few things for natural cages. You can collect large stones and bake them to disinfect them and use millet sprays to make it look like plants The houses and wheels are very good and specialized at Rodipet - but the best wheel is the Silent Runner which is sold in the US and cheaper than in the Uk! The houses I reckon you could make
I know it can be difficult getting any kind of hamster stuff in Canada - I think most people ship from the US - I think Petsmart is there too.

Agree with making items. The houses imo are seriously overpriced - best off spending money on a cheap jigsaw, large diameter drill bit and birch plywood (what rodipet use I think) and create your own - which is what I have done recently instead of buying. I guess I have a ‘natural’ tank and the only other things I’ve used are branches (driftwood & grapevine), cork pieces & bamboo root which are widely available. Plywood shelves on thick dowelling legs are easy to make. Also have some polyresin stone/rock bits for fish/reptiles which look good. Definitely don’t need a lot of expensive rodipet products for a nice looking habitat. There’s a few items in US/Canada that I’d buy but don’t sell here so I do understand how frustrating it is!

^^ this post!
I definitely urge owners to make their own houses. You could honestly make a very nice house (maybe even competing with Rodipet in terms of aesthetics) and have it be personalized for your hamster. I find that German hamster sites have lots of good information regarding making your own hamster houses. I can try to look some up when I get home from work if it would interest you.
As for Rodipet in Canada, you’ll need to order off of amazon or a similar site. I’ve never really done so however, as I find it much too expensive to ship; especially when I can easily make my own or buy a similar quality hut from a local store. Best wishes!

Thank you! I will check out reptile shops, as well as alternate sources for flowers/herbs/dried grasses/branches etc.
I am going to give DIY a try, too. I'm not much of a carpenter at all, but I have a neighbour with workshop so I'll try to cobble together an appropriate bribe/compensation package.
Any tutorials would be much appreciated @Drago
I found one using an Ikea wooden magazine holder. In addition to a house, I am looking for a platform, which seems simple enough.
I am still interested in the water bottle stand as well as the wooden wheel, which I understand I'll need to sand and plastikote. The ceramic corner potties are also appealing but I'll look around for alternatives.
Thank you everyone!

If you don't have the Ikea Magazine rack your in for a hunt as IKEA discontinued the wooden ones back in Spring of this year. That directly from the Ikea warehouse Factory. However the design is easy to make if you have skills using a scroll saw and Glue.

I must be lucky, then, as it was in stock at my local Ikea when I went to pick up the detolf. But thank you for the heads up! Always good to know these things.

Re: Rodipet items in Canada? Or a Rodipet store that ships to Canada?
Well a UK seller ships the Trixie wooden wheel on ebay to Canada which also has a cork running surface and I’ve seen good reviews. Works out very expensive but then so is the rodipet one! Personally think the silent runner looks absolutely fine in a natural set up, I’ve just bought the bright yellow one for mine. Don’t know about other wooden wheels I’m afraid as the only good ones I know of are the trixie and karlie ones over here.
For plants try wheat sprays and oat sprays (for birds) - they sell them on amazon.
The bottle stand is difficult, I’ve seen lots of people make them with dowelling pieces but to be honest I have no idea how that works. I’d just get some industrial strength Velcro and tape it to the side - it doesn’t budge.

Re: Rodipet items in Canada? Or a Rodipet store that ships to Canada?
Personally I didn't get on well with bottle stands They don't go well with lots of substrate and aren't always the right height. I used a Ferplast Sippy bottle in a glass tank (it comes with suckers to attach it) or using industrial velcro as mentioned before.
Someone made a labyrinth house out of cardboard Easy to cut the holes!
