Default Aspen (UK)

Hi
I’ve just ran out of megazorb again and decided to have a look at aspen after deciding against fitch. I’ve tried some clearly poor quality scratchy aspen before but found a 14kg bale of it on ebay for £24 - brand is Komodo (for reptiles). Has anyone tried this? It’s the shredded stuff not the shavings. I’ve read it’s soft but megazorb is extra soft so I feel anything else would be a downgrade.
I really like the look and smell of wood bedding which is why I’m looking at this. Also that the pieces are very small.
Any thoughts welcome anyway!

I couldn’t tell from the images whether or not it was kiln-dried/treated. As long as it is, then it looks perfectly safe to use! Best wishes
