Default Sap on Shelf

Hi,
I was just sanding my new shelves and getting them ready when I noticed the one of them had sap on it Does this mean they haven't been dried properly? I've picked it off but am concerned more could come out. My gut feeling is to return it and get a replacement but I thought I'd check. I'm worried about the other shelf now, maybe it's a dodgy batch. There are no signs of sap on it but I have already cut the corners off the other one so there is no way they would replace that one.
I got them from Ranch House on eBay.
So disappointed.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm not really sure tbh, I guess it's come out during the drying process & not been cleaned up properly, I doubt more would come out but you could just return it to be on the safe side.
I've bought quite a few things from them before & they've always been good quality so I doubt there'll be a problem with the other shelves.

Thank you Cypher. I am hoping to return it as I can actually see more sap inside it.
