Fitch bedding
Hi,
I’ve been using megazorb for my robo which is great however filling up her tank uses it up really quickly and the bag isn’t compressed so it’s taking up so much room. I was wondering how Fitch compared to megazorb or carefresh size wise (the individual pieces) since I find carefresh pieces for example, too big compared to my robos small size.
Thanks

Re: Fitch bedding
The pieces of fitch vary in size but even the larger bits are probably smaller than carefresh (from what I can remember of carefresh that is!) it would be fine for a Robo anyway.

Re: Fitch bedding
I took a pic of them side by side for you. The large bale of fitch is quite large and heavy to move. I don't think it is quite as good for burrowing to be honest. I like it as bedding though.

Re: Fitch bedding
I’ve used both Fitch and Megazorb for my Chinese and to be honest I much prefer Megazorb and find the bags easier to store than a bale of Fitch which I find to be rather bulky.
My hamsters prefer it because it’s easy for them to burrow in and build nests, which some of my girls can spend a lot of time doing.

Re: Fitch bedding
Our Robo has Fitch and has dug quite a few tunnels - they hold well. I think it's good for any species - they like moving it around - it's quite light and soft. Much better than Carefresh as it's dust free.
