Hi everyone
I spent the best part of the afternoon watching Wimbledon (Vamos Rafa!!) and making a DIY maze for Fitz's playpen. I thought I would share the results to see if anyone else wanted to give it a try. I've been ordering so many hamster supplies on Amazon recently that I thought I would put the cardboard boxes to good use. Please excuse the poor quality photos, but I hope you get the idea. The photos are also on their side too but I'm not really sure how to turn them round in the post but never mind!
Firstly I cut out many pieces like this. It doesn't matter how long they are, but they should be the same height and the slits need to be the same length too, about half the height of the piece. I cut holes in some of the pieces too.
Then I slotted them together as you will (hopefully) see below.
And here is an action shot! Look at blurry Fitz go!
Bonus (also blurry) pic!
I'm quite pleased with the results, and I had fun making it. The beauty is you can arrange them differently each time you set it up to make different mazes, and the pieces are easy to store. You can hide treats in the maze too, however my little guy never seems that interested in food when he's running around.
