Default moving cages

hiya, yet again, annoying old me. not so much a concern but a question, how long should i wait? last post i mentioned i dont like the plastic cage that i moved Kit into but he needed the space (by the way, dont want to jinx it but we may have progress!) and i was wondering how long i should actually wait before moving him again. right from the get go i can see how things would be stressful for the lil guy with the fighting and the obligatory move before the plastic cage. im a fan of the bin cage idea, looking into it at the moment but im about to do up my room which means more space. i'd love for both kit and casper to have a bin cage so i can help them enjoy life heh. nothing's final yet, but i'd like to know if im overdoing it with the moving. the last thing i want is for him to be stressed or even hate me..! i also hope im not coming off as an uneducated awful hamster owner..thats a personal worry..! do let me know if i am hah, i promise im not. just a worrier.

Hi - I saw some of your other threads but can't quite remember where you're up to! You separated the two dwarf hammies and moved Kit into a Savic cage is that right? I would have thought the Savic cage would be ok - assuming it's big enough? If you're still having taming issues with him (not surprising after a change) and he's a bit skittish it would be better to let him settle really. But if the cage he's in is too small then upgrading him in 3 or 4 weeks might not be so bad if you can put the base of the Savic cage - all set up as now and without cleaning anything - inside the new cage - so he can explore out from there and settle in the new cage.

Which cage is your hammy in at the moment? If it's not too small it might be better to just leave him where he is so he can fully settle and look at getting the layout workable for him.
