Default Reptile section safe?

I've been asking a lot of questions lately but I just want to make sure I don't do anything wrong by accident! But anyways, I was curious as to if I can shop in the reptile section at petsmart for different housing and cool looking hides/climbing toys for my Syrian hamster?

It depends, some things sold for reptiles are fine, like coconut or wooden things, some resin hideouts are good too but you do have to check them carefully for sharp edges & sand them down if you find any.

Majority of items sold in the reptile section are safe - as cypher mentions items including natural wood and coconuts are safe. Although I personally say be cautious with any resin item as they are made for reptiles which unlike hamster don't chew on toys so I would recommend removing any resin item if you notice your hamster is chewing on it just to be on the safe side.
