Default Hamster living in her tube, what should I do?

Hi everyone, after joining the forum a few days ago I realised my hamster Storm needs a much bigger cage so ordered the Alexander. However, atm until the cage arrives she is in the Pets at home large hamster cage and currently sleeping in the tube. We attempted to remove the tube a few days ago as I have read on here it is unsafe for her but it really stressed and upset her so we attached the tube again, I was just wondering should I take the tube away even though it will stress her out or just wait for the new cage to arrive in the next few days and allow her to stay in the tube till then? Thanks, for your help

Hmm, so long as she's not blocked in the tubes it seems to be fine.

I would say keep the tubes on as if her new cage will be arriving soon you don’t want to stress her out too much before hand as moving cage can be quite stressful for them.
Is she peeing in the tubes?

Yeah she is peeing in the tubes and storing her food in there, that's why I was worried just hoping her cage turns up tomorrow or Tuesday

Is she in this one?

If it is you can just take off the middle section and only let your hamster have the bottom? I just had to separate my dwarfs this morning so the aggressor is in this cage temp and she also slept, peed, ate and pooped in the tube so I took off the middle section and gave her a lot of bedding to dig in. It's less room but she never went into the platforms really and she's been spending the last hour just snuffling around and digging. She's currently asleep under the bedding between the water bottle and wheel (I promise you, she's in there!).

It's not ideal, but whilst I wait for the new cage to arrive it's better she's in there rather than trying to murder her sister.
