Smile New Owner - New Cage?

Hi everybody.
im new and im finding it really difficult looking for a hamster cage!
i am getting a syrian but first i really need a good colourful spacious cage to suit the hammys needs.
i live in the UK. I owned a hammy before but the cage wasnt really any good.
My budget is up to £45ish for the cage + postage etc.
Its so confusing, they're either to small or too expensive!?
if anybody can help me out or show me some useful links that would be muchly appreciated.
Thankyou,
Paige x

Welcome to the forum Paige.
I would have a look at the cage review section and really your best bet is e bay where good sized cages can often be picked up for a good price. Search 'large hamster cage' and ones to look for are Gabber rex or montagna rex, Savic Cambridge or Hamster Heaven.
Hope you are lucky.

Welcome to the forum!!

I agree with Souffle, have a look at the reviews section to see if you can find one you like. My favourites for syrians are the hamster heaven (a little over your budget at £65 but worth it in my opinion) or the savic cambridge (there are loads on ebay so you might be able to pick up a bargain). Both of these are really spacious so there is lots of room for toys etc

There was a Hamster Heaven on ebay yesterday which went for £45ish pound, annd it had a Wodent Wheel - shame you missed it and someone was selling a gabber rex for£27ish too. Oooo, you should've signed up two days ago!!

I'll have a look out on ebay as I hunt for other bargains.

I went on Preloved and had a look, there are some bargains on there depending on the area you live and whether they are for collection. I've just got a huge cage for £25 (thanks Flissy, pics up soon - promise!) It's in good condition and Peanut is going loopy in it! The one I got from Pampurred Pets was waaaaaaay to small.
