Default Should I wait to move one of my hamsters?

Hiya, nervous me again haha. On Saturday night I cleaned and prepared an old wire cage that is slightly smaller but near identical to the one both my hamsters Kit and Casper were staying in. I moved Kit into it because they were fighting, but I want to get new cages for them both anyway. I've been looking and cant really find any I like or think they'll like since they like to climb on the bars, but I know Kit will have to get used to this new cage, on top of getting used to being on his own. Should I wait before moving him again?

It won't do any harm for Kit to be in a smaller cage for a short while but I would get bigger cages & move them both soon if you can so they have a chance to settle in properly after being split up.
Climbing the bars can be a problem but you can set your cage up to avoid the risk of falls, nice deep substrate will help, you can attach ledges or small shelves to the bars so they don't climb too high & fall, you can also use hemp mat on top of things like houses.
It is best not to get a cage that is too tall.
A couple of good cages best suited to dwarf hams (I'm assuming you mean Russian?) are the Hamster Heaven (best used without the tubes & penthouse which can be blocked off) & the Grosvenor hamster cage..
Both are just about tall enough for a good sized wheel (8cm) but not too tall & the base allows for a good depth of substrate if filled completely.

I've spent a small fortune on some new things (wheels, houses and whatnot) for both of them at Pets at Home today so at the moment they'll have to make do, but I like the look of the Grosvenor one so I'll look into them. Thanks for the advice.
