I'm aware of that, but I can't just leave one of them behind. I might try splitting the cage if I get the Kios. As for travel carriers, they both have each of their own carriers.

Travelling, changing cages & environment can be stressful for hamsters so it is important they each have a decent size cage with enough space for a wheel, house, some toys, somewhere to hoard food etc, if you try to split a small cage it may be hard to do safely & they may get stressed by being in such close proximity.
If you got two identical storage bins that stack well to make bin cages then it would be easy & space saving to stack one bin in the other & pack all their things inside for the journey.

That does get tricky when you've got two hamsters that need a holiday cage. I'm wondering if a two tier Imac fantasy could be blocked off to make two cages, but then nothing is going to be that compact for transporting if you have two hamsters to house I guess. I agree about not splitting a cage in two for them.

How long are you going away for? It might be easier just to get a pet sitter.

I'm aware it can be stressful for hamsters, but I'm going to a country that isn't going to be on a car, which is why I need wired cages.

I will be away for a month then come back.

EDIT: I might try getting two duna multies instead and stacking them inside the luggage, seems they're compact enough. I'm just worried the plastic might break in the luggage.
