Upgrade ideas and thoughts

Seems a while since I have posted! So my little pickles is about to get a new upgrade from a zoozone 2 to a detolf. She is a large syrian and at the moment is loving to do laps in her cage, she is on her wheel for hours and I think the length of the detolf she will love! She is turning 2 in april but still acts like she 6 month old and has SO much energy her zoo zone cant hold everything I want to put in there! I think more tunnels and more wheel space and more places to hide food will really keep her happy!
Any ideas for syrian detolfs out there so I can get some ideas?

If she likes digging, have one end as a big digging area.

You could have a extendable tube or tubes for her to run through and extra hides.

Two wheels may be fun and she could go from one to the other, which may keep her busy.

You know her best. So give her things she enjoys now, but you have space to also try new things. Hope she likes the detolf.

If you type "Hamster Detolf" into google and click on "Images" you will see loads of set ups! I've done that particular search a few times.

If it was me, with all that space, I'd get a labyrinth house (or make one). Our current and last Syrians have both loved having a labyrinth house. The litter tray is inside it and they use it. The flat roof can also double up as a platform.

I would definitely put a platform in it somewhere. Something for them to sit under for shelter, and climb up onto. And I'm a fan of the large cork logs - interesting texture to climb over and a nice big dark tunnel to run through.

Your main decision might be the wheel Not all wheels will fit in the detolf with a lid. Most 11" wheels will but the 12" silent runner won't if it's on its stand. But you could use the mounting plates and drill a hole in one end of the detolf and mount it that way possibly (I'm not actually sure if that works).
