Is anyone having trouble with their hamsters weeing - and the wee sticking?
I had this problem, but i read somewhere months ago, that vinegar would work - it did. I got all the bedding out, and then i got some vinegar. I put a few drops of vinegar in each corner ( because my hamster ended up using every corner) and it smelt really bad, and a very strong vinegar smell, so i got some hot water from the tap, and poured it in. Left it for, about 2 seconds, poured it out ( i done it outside) then i got a sponge, he ones where one side is rough. I got the rough side and scrubbed the corners, and it came off so easily. Done this for every corner, then i needed more vinegar because it stoppd coming off easily, and i again put the water in, then poured it out. There was a few tiny pieces left, so i simply got a butter knife and scraped them. Then i got more water and poured it out - and not a bit of wee was left !

i cleaned this old cage up because im hoping my mom will allow me to have a dwarf hamster as well as a syrian in a bigger cage - UNLESS the bigger cage is suitable for a dwarff - dont think it is though :S
