Thanks - that's all really helpful certainly makes sense regarding the wheel. She does already have bathing sand - the dustless type, so that's sorted, but always worth stocking up. Just had a notification that the 28cm wheels are back in stock on zooplus, so heading over to order one!

Normal children's play sand is fine for bathing, and works out a lot cheaper than chinchilla sand. The only down side is that it doesn't hold the smell in as well.
