Bedding and Substrate
So I need to get a substrate that will be used all over the cage floor. I’ve been looking at lots of options such as carefresh and megazorb but I was just wondering where can I buy these and other good beddings for an affordable price. I’ve laready looked at pets at home/pampered pes/pets corner/Amazon. Any links of products from these or other shops would be appreciated.

Re: Bedding and Substrate
I would go for fitch that SKB linked to, it's about the most economical substrate, virtually dust free & the hams love it.
Carefresh tends to be expensive & some can have a bit of a strange smell.
I've found megazorb to be extremely dusty.

2nd vote for Fitch! Much cheaper and it's actually the best quality I've seen!

Re: Bedding and Substrate
Hemp is fine too, not so readily available (or cheap as fitch), Zooplus is the best place for hemp.

Re: Bedding and Substrate
Hi,
I would definitely put in another vote for Fitch.
for hemp, I recently bought a bale of auboise (hemp bedding) from omlette, an online chicken supplies store for just £13. https://www.omlet.co.uk/shop/chicken...edding_-_20kg/
its a bit loose for tunneling but seems to have gone down well enough with Luna.
the only down side to either of these is that it can be hard to store the large bales. but they're such good value its definitely worth the hassle.

Re: Bedding and Substrate
I was looking into megazorb as it’s quite cheap but most people have been saying is dusty so obviously the hamster comes first so I don’t want dusty bedding, I’ll be looking into Fitch, thanks for all your help
