tube Diameter for Syrian ?

What is the diameter (size) of tube to use for a Syrian? most tubes only fit dwarf sized hamsters.

Rat sized tunnels work well for syrians.

I like the willow tunnel from zooplus which is 10 x 25cm. I gave one of my past hamsters the 20cm x 38cm and he made his nest in it! 10cm diameter is fine though even 7cm. Have fun shopping for your hamster.

That works out to a 3-4 inch size tube. Thank you. I'm Planning on getting some piping at a home supply store. I'll be getting my hamster as soon as all the supplies get here from amazon.

Toilet and kitchen roll tubes are sufficient, easily accessible, inexpensive and the diameter doesn't matter, as long as you cut down the entire length of the tube so he doesn't get stuck, its expandable and chewable. This need not apply to dwarfs as they will never be too fat for a toilet tube

I would also go with 4" diameter rat tubes. A large Syrian with full pouches can get stuck in anything smaller than 7cm. Rat tubes are great for Syrians as they can run through them easily.

Pringles tubes are a good size too
