Default Help With Sand Baths!

Hello! I know childrens play sand is acceptable for sand baths, but none of my local hardware stores currently carry it. I do have a few packs of colored sand that originally came with a Sand Art Kit. Its not at all dusty, but the individual grains of sand are pretty big. Will it still be okay for use in a sand bath?

Probably not due to the fact it may be colored with dyes or paint

I wouldn't use it.
If you can't get play sand then you need chinchilla sand (not the dust).

I get this Chinchilla sand from Viovet. If you get two at the same time you only pay one lot of postage. A carton lasts me quite a long time.

It's quite expensive at viovet, you can get it cheaper at P@H, vet UK or amazon probably a few other places as well, it is an add on or subscribe item on amazon though, I have mine on subscribe & save so I get 15% off, works for me

I am currently using chinchilla sand for my female long haired Syrian hamster. I use it whenever she gets greasy. I will rub it all over her fur. Is this okay?
