Default Is this cage too small for a robo?

Hello all,
So recently my robos have been fighting so I've had to separate them.
Money is tight at the moment so I've had to resort in a bin cage for one of them (the other is in a hamster heaven cage). I have looked everywhere for the biggest possible bin and the one I've bought is 27x12 inches. Is this too small? I am hoping that in a few months I will be able to get something bigger though.

It is a bit small - some depends on how active your robo is. You can get a 78cm Samla bin for Ikea for about £10 if that helps. It's quite deep and makes a good bin cage.

It depends on the robo. My old robo Hector lived in a mini duna as he didn't like big spaces. I personally think that if you needed to seperate because of fighting then what could potentially be a bit small in the long run for certain hamsters is still a better option than keeping them together. I think when your ham has had a couple of weeks to settle in then you'll know if he is unhappy with the space or not. But in the meantime while you find an option that you'll be happy with I'd say it'll do.

27" is 68cm which is ok - it's just a bit narrow at 30cm really. How is your Robo settling in it? If you're saving, a standard duna multy is a good price. Maybe better than spending £10 or so on a samla bin.

That's around 70x30 cm which is it's only 10cm thinner than the recommended minimum size for dwarf hamsters so your Robo will definitely be fine in the bin cage for now A healthy hamster in a slightly too small cage is a lot better than two fighting hammies stuck sharing a cage!

324sq inches is a bit small for any hamster. having a tad too small cage is a lot better than 2 hamsters being forced to fight to the death. If there isn't an option to get a bigger cage just make sure your hamster gets lots of playtime.
